Subject: It is good to know somebody remembers him

Dear lucasleiva.co.uk

I am a Lucas fanatic for a long time, I have read about everything about him, every interview, visited all the blogs dedicated to him, wrote about him in forums etc.

My only enquiry from you is to try to find some photos of him in Liverpool, no matter if it is in the trainings, in the reserves on the bench, on the tribune - whatever, we have so many pictures and videos of him in Gremio, he was the superstar, Brazil’s best player 2006. He also did very well in the sub 20 NT, leading them to be the champions of South America. Anyhow he got injured and did not lead them in the Mundialito of the category and the NT did very bad without him.

Any picture, even when he is on the corner of the picture or turning his back, will be received with thanks

I myself has a blog about him and I recycle the same pictures all over again because there is nothing new

Well it is not your fault, he is a private person , does not like to show off like Torres, his only disadvantage is that he is too good, too polite, he will never push himself - he just trains and suffers quietly the humiliation: the best promise of Brazil in the last 10 years is playing in the reserves!

The last game in Porto: He was on the bench, Liverpool played very bad. Almost everybody in the forums I read said he should have come in. Why does Rafa not give him a chance? Is he pushed by agents of other players?

Gerard was not himself in this game, so it was only natural that Lucas (called the Brazilian Gerrard) will enter for him, He could have done something creative in the midfield, maybe change the direction of this terrible game.

Every week , every month that he is not playing  make him worse, he needs all his mental strength not to break down. he just trains hard and hope, living a deception every week, if even the injury of Alonso will not break him in, i suppose the best for him will be a loan on January for some other team where he will play. He will not recover his place in the NT if he does not play.  What a waste!

Those are just my personal thoughts, nothing more

Here is a link you can publish for a very good thread about him, bringing practically all the available information and also the pictures and highlights of the reserve games he participated in, as well as the Toulouse game and other material.

I invite you to look at this thread and you are welcome to use any material , videos, pictures etc. As I wrote most of the posts in that thread I will only be too happy that more people see it.

I did not recommend the blogs I talked about because they are all in Portuguese!

Anyhow I can recommend the trailer of the chapter dedicated to Lucas in the TV series Tituars (3 videos from You Tube), where you can see a lot about him - a rare look inside his house there where he lived with his girlfriend and 2 dogs.. and many biographical details, also what Ronaldinho Gaucho says about him and much more…

Don’t think that it’s a gossip celebrity program, it is a football program showing many football moments, any other material is just to understand the background of the player, understand him better.

It is very rare material because he never talks about his private life and does not appear in trendy places. Outside the pitch he is just a simple kid, on the pitch he is an energy bomb! At 20 years he was already a charismatic leader.

The last link: the link enabling everybody who wants it to write a message to Lucas, I hope he receive many letters in order to support him in this difficult moment, does he knows about your site? my humble opinion is that he should and he will even like it, even being the shy kid that he is.

I hope you find my e mail interesting

Luz,

It is wonderful to have some feedback from a true fan who speaks from the heart.

Please tell us more about yourself and maybe we could do a little feature for the Lucas website.

We contacted Liverpool (and Lucas) via email hoping for some pics, but no reply as yet.

Thank-you so much for your input :-) The pics, thread & links will provide quality material for the site at a time when not much news is forthcoming.

Stay in touch!

Dear lucasleiva.co.uk

I do not like to write about myself, i am just a woman that is interested in football , especially in Brazilian football. I write usually about the Brazilian League, called brasileirao , which is not known and underrated by many Europeans. I find that league fascinating, complicated, very competitive, but it is a long story to tell here. I do not use to participate in English forums' they use too many 4 letters words' and finding out i am a woman make some tasteless sexist remarks, i am not a youngster, and I feel very seriously about football , and the private things i discuss with my friends and family. If you read my posts in the Xtratime forum you will be able to get some impression (and see my typing errors - it is because I think faster than I type!)

In Israel people looks at me as an authority in Brazilian football and i am the only one who really follow that league and inform my ittle but quality audience, bringing link from the Brazilian sites (highlights and goals, etc) The teams I like are Cruzeiro and of course Gremio, Lucas former team, when i found out about him. His personality' so unlike football players in general and Brazilians in particular roused my interest, I always liked more the modest, honest ones, I also have a thread about Rivaldho, a man never wit any "star-like' modalities who have very hard life form early childhood through his career. So different from Lucas who are from a high middle class family, father a dental surgeon etc. He had the privilege to get a better education of most other people of the trade... the way he plays football is also not typical Brazilian – he is a man of the first touch who does not use dribbles unless it is absolutely necessary, he always pass it exactly where it is needed and also have a very good movement without the ball to receive it exactly were needed. he is (or was, when he was playing) very quick, has great vision of the game' creates, saves lost games.. score goals, marks, but for that we have Mascherano. He is a very versatile player, you can see it in the reserves where he unfortunately plays now.

I am a mother & a grandmother. In the beginning when I began to write about football , people did not take me seriously but today they respect me - I earned it through sleepless nights when I watched or followed by radio Brazilian games. My husband is an ex goalkeeper and referee and he advise me often about problems of arbitrage. Some people envy him for having a wife who can and wants to talk about football! My youngest daughter once complained that " I loved Rivaldo more than her! She knows better now.

There are all sorts of love. If somebody follows a team & a player for years, he/she has the impression that this or that player is like a family member - we feel as if we know him, even without meeting him or talking to him. The internet and international communication with other fans enables it.

Maybe you think that what I write about Lucas is too good to be true, I thought so myself at first, but it is fairly true, nobody is perfect, but he tries hard to be, or maybe he was born that way. his only vice, to my opinion is that he is too good natured, too honest and trusting, never says a bad word against anybody, even the ones who deserves it.

Have a good night/morning (depending when you read this)

Luz
